**Sample question 1**

How do most members of the House of Lords take their seats?

- **They are appointed, not elected by the public — correct**
- They are elected by the public every five years
- They inherit their seats without exception
- They are chosen by the House of Commons

- **1807 — correct**
- 1833
- 1776

**Sample question 3**

Where is the annual series of classical concerts known as the Proms held?

- **The Royal Albert Hall — correct**
- The Royal Opera House
- The Barbican
- Symphony Hall

**Why:** The BBC Proms run for eight weeks each summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London, ending with the Last Night.
